Restore Your Core & Pelvic Floor Virtual Workshop

Wednesday, May 31st @ 6pm

This workshop is for you if you have:

  • Nagging back or hip pain that hasn't gotten better even if you've tried everything
  • Been told that you have a ‘pelvic organ prolapse’ and not sure what to do about it
  • Leak pee when you run, jump, cough, sneeze, laugh, or lift weights
  • Been told you should just do “MORE KEGELS” to fix your leakage
  • Difficulty being intimate with your partner due to pelvic pain or dryness

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • What the pelvic floor is, and what does it do?
  • How issues in the pelvic floor can cause back, hip and pelvic pain.
  • Why doing kegels might be making your issue worse!
  • What are some things you can start doing NOW to resolve your symptoms.

Dr. Leah Connerty earned her Doctorate of Physical therapy in February 2021. Prior to her graduate studies, Leah attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she majored in Biology and minored in Health Professions with a concentration in Mind and Body. Leah’s journey to becoming a physical therapist began as a patient herself as she was in and out of PT with various injuries related to soccer. Leah has a personal understanding of what it takes to participate in injury rehabilitation as a young, high-level athlete and understands the demands of regaining full sport level performance.

Leah has extensive experience in treating active adults with long standing pain. Additionally, Leah specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and has been trained through Herman & Wallace. She is especially passionate about equipping women at all stages of motherhood with movement-based tools to live a full and vibrant lifestyle without compromise. Leah’s favorite part of her job is getting to celebrate the “little victories” with her patients.

Outside of work, you can find Leah cooking meals to feed her friends and family. She looks forward to sharing recipes with you!
